In Islam, there is no call to blind faith. In fact, certainty is a personal obligation. We are commanded in the Quran to know that there is no god but God, with certainty. For this instruction to be just, the expectation must be realistic, and the path to experiencing this reality must be accessible to all.

What are the specific knowledge and practices that allow us to witness this reality as clearly as the sunrise? How do we learn to sense the divine winds that come from the presence of God as clearly as a cool breeze on a hot day? This month, we ask where this guidance begins, and how we actually taste the lived, experiential tranquility of true faith.
